The Skystream 3.7T now includes the Skystream turbine, a fully engineered Skystream tower, the SkyView monitoring software and SkyLevel, a newly patented leveling system to ensure the tower is leveled properly at time of initial installation as well as over the life of the installation. All of these components ship as one complete system.

SkyView Monitoring Software
Skyview lets you download, graph and export your system's energy production history. Skystream™ stores daily energy production to an onboard memory chip and has capacity for several years’ worth of data. In addition Skyview includes expandable diagnostics capability, a cumulative performance table, radio signal strength indicator, carbon footprint information and instant performance display.

Southwest Windpower now has an on-line site assessment tool called Sitelook, which will allow interested customers to conduct a site evaluation based on their address and their monthly energy use. You can check it out for yourself at: http://www.windenergy.com/assessment

Only the Certified Skystream dealers will receive an email with the contact information on the qualified lead (s) near their area. Quality ratings are indicated on every email.

Southwest Windpower has had this program active in the U.S. since May and it has already generated over 25,000 hits or approximately 123 per day. Of those, 6,500 have become leads sent out to the local Certified Skystream Dealer for their follow up. The program has just gone live in Canada and there is a French version which can be accessed as well by clicking on the French flag icon.

Whisper 100, 200 & 500 for off-grid applications

Southwest Windpower - small wind turbines for off-grid applications Whisper Series
The Whisper series turbines provide dependable energy for remote homes, telecommunications sites and rural applications in moderate to extreme environments. The 100, 200, and 500 model numbers represents the kWh produced a month by the turbine at a 19 km/h average wind speed. The Whisper 100 and 200 feature a door to allow easy 12-48 voltage configuration in the field, though 24 V is the factory setting. Five year warranty.

Note: The Whisper 100 is suitable for moderate to high average wind speed sites of 9 mph (4 m/s) and above.
The Whisper 200 suitable for low to moderate average wind speed sites.

Wind Turbine Tower kits
By far, the most important aspect of a wind turbine installation is the tower assembly. Southwest guyed towers are the standard for simple and durable wind installations. These towers are designed for easy tilt-up to simplify erection and have precut wires and hardware needed for a safe installation. All parts are threaded, so no welding required. Pipe and anchors are excluded.

Wind Tower Poles
For most conditions, we recommend a "schedule 40" pipe material. This offers a wall thickness of .125" which is strong enough to resist most wind conditions. If you are using fence pipe material, make sure you ask for "SS40". If you live in an environment where your winds will never exceed 80 mph (140 km) then we suggest using a thinner wall material such as a "schedule 20". In conduit material, this is called "SS20".
