powered street Lights are hitting the road
Montreal,
August 22, 2003 – Matrix Energy Inc. introduces ultra high
efficiency, energy saving solar powered LED and LPS Cobrahead
streetlights. The solar
powered lights offer extreme versatility and reliability for remote
areas not served by conventional energy sources. The
LED (light emitting diode) fixtures contain 1000 super-bright LEDs
making them comparable to LPS lamps with the added benefit of long,
maintenance-free, ten-year useful life.
The lens design reduces light pollution while improving light
output. The LPS (low
pressure sodium) fixtures offer standard light output of 1800 lumens
yet operates on just 12 VDC. Both
lamps are geared for municipal, commercial or private installation
where access to conventional AC power is cost prohibitive. Both
LED and LPS systems are available as components or complete packages
including Cobrahead or Shoebox luminaire, LED or LPS lamp, solar
module and battery bank. About
