Matrix Energy provides more efficiency with its new MatrixAir™ Backpass System
With nearly two decades of experience Matrix Energy Inc, a leading developer and systems integrator of renewable energy solutions, introduces the new MatrixAir™ BP Backpass System. “Our objective in developing the BP system was to produce an easy to implement and architecturally pleasing solar collector that could generate the highest energy output possible at the lowest cost”, says Brian Wilkinson, Matrix Energy’s founder and President. The MatrixAir™ BP system succeeds in providing superior energy output than conventional glazed or unglazed backpass collectors and gives engineers and architects a more efficient and affordable fresh air heating system for façade-mounted industrial, commercial, agricultural or institutional applications.
Using conventional, non-perforated, exterior cladding, Matrix Energy has designed and optimized this low cost, unglazed, solar air heating system for fresh air heating to provide a nominal flow of 75 CFM of preheated ventilation or make-up air per foot of collector width or 120 l/s per metre of collector width.
According to Canada’s National Solar Test Facility in Mississauga, Ontario, MatrixAir™ Backpass has demonstrated a 60% operating efficiency with significantly higher energy output and temperature gains exceeding 23 °C over ambient temperatures.
The new and innovative design that is adaptable to a wide range of building sizes and styles makes this product a must have for all construction design.
