Matrix Energy adds Experience to Solar Thermal and Energy Efficiency Team

Montreal, June 03, 2009 — Matrix Energy Inc. is very pleased to announce today the addition of Andrew van Doorn to its team.

Andrew will be assuming the responsibility for the sales development of our solar thermal and energy efficiency products, relying on his vast experience in solar thermal technologies to increase our solar air and water heating presence in Canada and the United States.

Having served as vice-president of engineering at Heliotech and HLT energies Andrew joins Matrix after 14 years of experience in the Canadian solar thermal industry.  Since graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Quebec’s, École Technologie Supérieur, he has amassed a wide range of experience ranging from project management to product and business development.  He was instrumental in putting together Canada’s first solar power purchase agreements for solar thermal in 1998 based on his own patented solar thermal hot water technology.

As past-president of the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA) and currently serving on its Board of Directors, he continues to be called upon to represent the Canadian solar industry both here in Canada and abroad.
