Southwest Windpower is presenting a complete Skystream dealer training course, covering all aspects of wind generator sales, installation and service. The course includes substantial technical information on site selection, tower selection and installation, Skystream troubleshooting and repair, and communication. One day of the course is held outside, at which time students will assemble and raise a Skystream on a tilt-up tower (using the Skylevel system). The combination of classroom training, hands-on exercises, and field experience is intended to provide dealers with all the information needed to successfully bid, sell, site, install and support wind energy.
Course Topics Include:
- Site selection and wind theory
- How to bid and sell wind energy systems
- Pre-installation requirements, such as permitting and wire sizing and foundation considerations
- Tower options, selection and installation
- Skystream installation in both grid-connected and off-grid, or battery backup, configurations
- Skystream troubleshooting, diagnostics and servicing
- Use of Skyview communications software and Skylevel tower leveling device.
Course Schedule:
- Monday 10:00am to 5:00pm
- Tuesday-Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm
- Friday 8:30am to 3:00pm
Lunches are included every day.
Lodging is not included in the course fee. Lodging is available at the Holiday Inn Pointe-Claire and special rates are available for those attending this training or the Matrix Energy Conference immediately following the Southwest Windpower training course.

Southwest Windpower is presenting a Technical Update course for existing Skystream dealers.
In order to attend the 2-day Technical Update class, a dealer must have previously completed a 2.5-day Dealer Training Seminar presented by Southwest Windpower. This is the siting and technical service (troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair) portion of the training. This update class is a requirement for dealer recertification.
Course Topics Include:
• Site evaluation and wind flow theory
• Pre-installation requirements, such as wire sizing
• Skystream installation in off-grid, or battery backup, configurations
• Skystream troubleshooting, diagnostics and servicing
• Use of Skyview communications software and Skylevel tower leveling device.

Friday 8:30am to 3:00pm
