Inside Sales Representative

Job Description:
Matrix Energy Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative, an integral position within the Sales Department ensuring consistent outbound contact with customers.  The Inside Sales Representative is expected to effectively grow an existing client base, and build new prospects in order to support the sales process.

Strong candidates for this position will be fluently bilingual and have 1- 2 years’ experience in a sales environment. Excellent lead qualification, multi-tasking and client relationship skills are required, as well as a background in effective cold calling.  Managing inter-organizational relationships and teamwork in a highly competitive environment are essential.

This person’s key task is to support the company’s Account Representatives, Dealers, and Commercial accounts sales efforts.

Responsibilities:

    • Ensure accuracy of customer contact information in database.
    • Build strong customer relationships for repeat opportunities.
    • Grow sales within the existing customer base through regular communication.
    • Develop new accounts by prospecting and communicating regularly with specific customer groups .
    • Grow knowledge base on current and new products.
    • Assist in qualifying new leads and prospects.
    • Handle some inbound customer communications (price, delivery, basic tech questions)
    • Prepare quotations and perform follow-ups .
    • Assist in project-based sales.
    • Support the sales account representatives on project-based business.
    • Direct some customer issues to the appropriate internal department (Accounting, Logistics, Tech Support, etc)

Estimated Time Management:

    • Regular contact with specific accounts groups ( 75%)
    • Sourcing, qualifying new leads ( 15%)
    • Administration and reporting (10%)

Requirements:

    • Fully French/English bilingual written and oral
    • At least two years of inside sales experience utilizing the telephone as a primary, outbound business tool.  Preference will be given to candidates with renewable energy or electrical wholesale industry experience.
    • Previous experience with MS Access, Excel, Word, Outlook , ERP and/or CRM software is a definite asset.
    • Technical/ electrical aptitude
    • Exceptional verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team selling environment
    • High degree of integrity and professionalism (external and internal situations)
    • Excellent time management skills focused on the coordination of multiple sales activities

Education/Certification Requirements:

    • Minimum CEGEP DEC / College diploma with a business or technical focus
    • University degree (or equivalent) with a business/science/engineering major is an asset.
